| | | | | posted 03/09/2010 Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 10th both Varsity and JV teams play at San Clemente HS. The Varsity game starts at 5:30 and the JV game starts at 7:00
All players (JV and Varsity) are to meet in front of the anchor at 3:15. Busses will leave at 3:30. (Please no ball throwing) Don't forget your mouth piece, cup, gloves, pads, and a warm jacket.
The varsity bus will leave San Clemente around 7:15 after the first quarter of the JV game. If any player does not want to take the bus home, they MUST inform the athletic department and their head coach in advance. Contact Christina Chacon 949-515-6308 or

posted 03/09/2010 Penalties were the name of the game on this night, but the Newport Harbor Men's Varsity Lacrosse team was victorious over the Tustin Tillers 14-6 in front of friends and family at Tustin High School.
The skies were full of ominous clouds as the teams took the field, but were untouched by the rain until the games completion.
Newport looked a little flat, and the Tillers took advantage, keeping it close in the first half 6-3. In the second half, Harbor got into the flow and started pulling away from Tustin. NHHS depth and use of substitutions made it hard on the lesser manned Tustin team, who had to keep their starters in for a majority of the contest.
The next big test for the Newport Harbor Men's Varsity Lacrosse team will be Wednesday night at San Clemente HS, Varsity game starts at 5:30pm. We hope you can join us for a great night of lacrosse.

Wednesday, 3-10 = varsity game 5:30 at San Clemente + jv game 7:00 at San Clemente
Thursday, 3-11 = varsity team dinner at 5:30 (right after practice) at Coach Gaynor's.
Friday, 3-12 = varsity game 7:00 at Newport Harbor

posted 03/07/2010 Newport Harbor Men's Varsity and Junior Varsity Lacrosse teams opened up their seasons with home wins against an always athletic Mater Dei school.
The Varsity game was a low scoring affair, 6-4 in favor of the Sailors, as each team attacked aggressively, each defense stood firm.
The Junior Varsity looked impressive as they held Mater Dei to only 3 goals, while putting 8 goals of their own on the board. The JV had a "Tough act to follow" type of performance, we hope that it is one of more many to come.
Riley Peterson and Taylor Wildman each had a major role in NHHS scoring efficiency, Taylor from the midfield and Riley from the attack. Christian Rueles and Paul Newman defended the goal with great pride.
Newport Harbor Men's Varsity and Junior Varsity Lacrosse teams played their home openers in front of a great crowd of friends, family and students at Davidson Field Stadium; we hope it gets LARGER and LOUDER in the weeks to come.
